I thought I’d drop you line to let you know how superb the service was from your folks back in the office (unfortunately I did not catch her name). I ordered a Minolta 2300W one afternoon and the very next day, it arrived. At every stage of the way I got an exceedingly polite, efficient and effective lady on the end of the ’phone letting me know what was going on. And, even though the CD-ROM was not present - a bit of a pain - the same lady had all the necessary URL info such that I could download it! Excellent.

With many online companies there is always some aspect of the process I find lacking, not receiving a hard copy invoice or no telephone contact details or goods not turning up when expected. In light of past bad experience, the two biggest online companies I will not buy from and to complain to is to spend hours in a recorded message loop. So buying from your company was a breath of fresh air.
I ordered a printer online on Wednesday evening, Stuart rang me Thursday and took payment over the phone (which from a security point of view is excellent). The printer arrived Friday as promised and a nice touch was a courtesy phone call Friday afternoon ensuring everything was well. Saturday am the invoice arrived in the post.

I ordered a Minolta 2300W laser printer from you on Sunday night, you confirmed payment details by phone on Monday and it successfully arrived at 08:50 Tuesday morning. So far the results have been very impressive. On black and white text documents, the quality is excellent even down to about 4 point. The real stunner though is the quality of colour photos. It may not quite be true photo quality but you have to look pretty carefully to tell the difference.

I really have to tell you folks that you are a shining example of how to serve customers in a first class manner. I don’t want to bore you but compared to a large national online retailer (whose name begins with D and ends with s, a 4 letter word in total!), you take then to the cleaners on service. I have mailed you for samples and they all arrived through my letter box the next day, your prices are better, I phones twice and you couldn’t have been more helpful. What a delight it is to speak to a human beings (well, Nolan and Stuart in this case!), and not receive an email telling me that everyone is busy and I should get a response by mail within 4 DAYS! I orders the printer yesterday at 3.00pm and this morning the invoice came through my letterbox, followed, I am quite sure by the printer itself in the next few days. Not only hat I get a free inkjet printer, free carriage and another £10 off the price I expected to pay. Don’t go too cheap folks as I’d hate you to go out of business, as Lord Kitchener said "your country needs you!" Thank you for restoring my confidence. I never expect to be treated like royalty or have everything delivered the next day but I do expect a courteous approach, prompt service and a genuine helpful attitude on the end of the phone. You score 10 out of 10 on all 3, so what you should do now is take this mail into the boss’s office and ask him to treat you to some rather nice cream cakes to go with your morning coffee, for a job well done.

After the hassle of finding a suitiable plasma screen in a good price/performance level, I gave IT Databases a try. they offered me this great bundle of a 42" panasonic plasma incl. inputboard, a 5.1 dolby surround sound system incl. dvd player from sony.
The staff was very friendly and helped me sorting out all my needs and requirements. After arranging the order, the plasma arrived as agreed in perfect condition with special delivery and safely packed. Everything was fine.
The biggest hassle I had with this order was drilling the 6 holes in the wall and fixing the anchors for the wallmounting, because I have a massive wall, but.. that is not IT Databases stuff. It was a convenient and easy order with them.
Life is easy sometimes. Whenever I would need something again, I will buy it here.

July 7th - It did arrive today after all. However, after printing a few blanks, I have investigated the knowledge-base guide on the Lexmark website and find that the printer head cover is broken: on first inspection it was not as pictured in the site and was loose when I very carefully touched it: the hinge connections at both ends are broken. The printer arrived, its fine, no problems, worked first time. The guy I spoke to on the phone to order the printer was organised, efficient and friendly.
The courier was excellent, he spotted my wife at the end of our road, walking back to the house on her return from the school run and stopped to ask if she was from number 50, and then returned to the house with the printer for her. I had a polite follow up call yesterday morning to make sure everything was ok and that the printer had arrived.
All in all, I’ve never had such helpful and efficient service from an online company, and your prices are unbelievable too. I’ve just forwarded your website to all my friends and colleagues. PS If you have an internal quality control / appraisal process - please feel free to forward my comments to the person who runs them.

Just thought I'd let you know that my laser printer has arrived safely, and on time. Even so, I nearly missed the delivery. The courier driver awoke me from my slumber, when he knocked at my door. I would've been in touch sooner, but I'd forgotten that the USB 2.0 cable isn't supplied in the package. I've now obtained one, and my printer is up and running perfectly.
May I thank Shirley Christensen and Mellie Gerard for their assistance in dealing with my initial enquiry, and then also placing my order. It's quite rare to find a firm which replies to email messages so promptly and completely. It's been a pleasure. I'm sure I'll be ordering again as and when the time comes. |
